There are three copiers available. Two are restricted to firms with photocopy charge accounts, and one is for the use of the general public and firms without a photocopy charge account. Users of the photocopy machines are liable for any copyright infringement. All copies are 20¢ per page.
Internet stations are for legal research only. Internet Services include WestlawNext and LexisAdvance. Due to the cost of these services, patrons without library membership must pay a user fee of $5/15min of internet usage. Library members may access these services free of charge. All copies are 20¢ per page.
You may have materials faxed to your office if you have a library copy account. You must provide the correct citation. Call 574-5943 to request a fax transmission. The charge is $.75 per page for a local call, and $1.50 for the first page and $.75 for each additional page for a long distance call.
There is no charge for the use of the Conference Room although donations are accepted. To reserve, please call 574-5943.
The Jefferson County Public Law Library is pleased to work in conjunction with various educational institutions, law firms, court systems, etc. that are interested in learning more about what services JCPLL has to offer. Library staffers are more than happy to provide tours or presentations explaining how the library is set up, the purposes of the various materials and give examples of how the resources work. Agencies may contact the library at 574-5943 if interested in setting up an educational meeting. Keep in mind that the law prohibits our staff from giving legal advice or interpreting the law.
