Library Policies

Food and Beverages
Food is not permitted in the Library. If a staff member observes a patron eating, he/she will be asked to leave. Beverages are permitted. However, we ask that you be careful. If something is spilled, please inform a staff member.

Re-shelving
As a publicly funded Library, patrons are expected to re-shelve their books. The Library does not have sufficient staff to provide this service. Please re-shelve with care...a mis-shelved book is a lost book.

Damaged Books
Marking, underlining or damaging the books in any way is prohibited. Anyone caught doing so will be required to reimburse JCPLL for replacement of the damaged material and will be banned from the Library.

Messages
If a patron receives a phone call during their visit, a message will be placed on the message board located in the front of the Library.

Handicapped
A wheelchair accessible table is available. If you are confined to a wheelchair, or need assistance, a staff member will help you.

Personal Property
JCPLL assumes no responsibility for lost or stolen items. Patrons are urged not to leave personal belongings unattended.

Fire Exits
A fire exit is located at the back of the JCPLL. Please note the evacuation procedures posted on the bulletin board located at the front of the library.
